VIRTUAL: Mental Health Awareness Training

Forefront Suicide Prevention invites you to our workshop on mental health awareness and wellbeing.
Mental Health Awareness provides important information about mental health and wellness, suicide prevention and lethal means safety. We will explore how mental health awareness is important to function well in our daily lives and support others who may be struggling. You will leave with action steps you can take that promote emotional well-being.
The training will cover the difference between mental health and mental health conditions, basic neuroscience and the importance of emotion regulation, risk and protective factors, and resources for continued support.
Learning objectives:
- Describe mental health and the positive and negative factors that affect it
- Explain the basics of suicide and how to discuss suicide with others
- Learn about the role of lethal means safety in suicide prevention
- Explore mental health wellness and next steps to support ourselves and others

This workshop has been approved for 1.5 CEUs by the Washington Chapter, National Association of Social Workers (NASW) for Licensed Social Workers, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists and Licensed Mental Health Counselors. Our Provider number is #1975-473.
